Jeans Jeans Jeans
There is one place I hit every time I go to Montreal. In the basement of a warehouse, just off the beaten path in the Mile End, lies a store where your very dreams come true! Jeans Jeans Jeans is a beacon of hope in our dark days of fear and despair, as the moment you walk in the air smells like flowers and the francophone sales men greet you with smiles.
Within seconds someone appears to ask what you need, and moments later you’re weaving through row after row of thousands of pairs of jeans while the guy throws pair after pair at you and then points you towards the change room. You get $200-$300 retail pairs of jeans for a mere fraction of the price at 50-75% off or in my case only $50 each, and then they fit and hem them to your specifications while you wait.
I find myself singing the theme song to Cheers Where Everybody Knows Your Name the whole time I’m there and then I walk out wearing the new jeans feeling like I just came out of the womb, or maybe slipped back in? Jeans Jeans Jeans… put it on your radar and go next time you’re in the area… just west of St-Laurent on St-Viateur. You won’t be disappointed.
Oh ya, and our show at Club Soda was good too!
